Jolene has applied using arts by discovering the participants/their parents' parenting style. The different parenting styles can have impact on your child's development. Through activities and discussion, participants are able to find out their predominant parenting style.

5 Emotions into art form and understanding about oneself

Jolene is thankful and able to volunteer with TOUCH Community Services, serving and interacting with the Special Needs Group. During two sessions, we were reviewing the 5 emotions and guiding them to relate to their own feelings and experiences with each emotions.

Art Therapy Meets

Jolene had involved as a volunteer exhibition guide in Art Therapy Meets jointly presented by SAMH Creative MINDSET Hub and Colors of MINDSET.
Art Therapy Meets is an exhibition that educates and provides a meaningful reflective experience to the community. This exhibition is open to the public, with guided tours provided.

Children's Learning Festival
June 2019
Jolene Art Therapy is honoured to join Children's Learning Festival organised by Kaki Bukit Cc. Jolene had facilitated 'Crepe Paper Bleeding Art' at the event. This art activity allows children to discuss ideas for an art making (social), appreciate shapes (emotional), and promote hand-eye coordination (motor).

Jolene is thankful to volunteer at ART Makings organised by SAMH Creative Mindset Hub. She facilitated 'Printmaking using recycled materials'.

Creating props for The Purple Parade

Jolene had involved as a volunteer with TOUCH Community Services and working with the Special Needs Group. Purple dandelions flowers art were created by using recycled materials like bathroom tissue rolls and kitchen towel rolls. These beautiful purple dandelions flowers masterpieces were transformed into hats and big sized bangle bracelets which were worn during the parade.

Positive Parenting Workshop
August 2018
Sunlife Educare (Kaki Bukit) had invited Jolene and another speaker, Miss Manisha Nijjawan to give a half day Positive Parenting Workshop to the parents. The workshop covered 3 topics on the impact of parenting styles, the 6As and the practical method, and bullying. Participants were actively involved during the workshop and sharing their views.
